A Genuine Toyota diesel injection common rail fuel pump suction control valve (SCV) Kit for the KDN165 Hilux Pickup with the 2KDFTV engine between February/2002-August/2005 manufactured for Toyota by Denso.
Genuine kit consists of:
- 1x Suction control valve - vacuum packed to keep spotlessly clean prior to installation
- 2x Allen key bolts
- 2x Knurled studs
- 1x Large "O" ring
- 1x Rubber grommet/plug set
- Original equipment quality and fit.
In short, the suction control valve controls the fuel pressure sent to the fuel pump, if the valve is not producing enough fuel pressure the engine will not start.
The fuel suction control valve or also known as a fuel pressure control valve comprises of a fuel-cooled solenoid valve, the valve opening is varied by its solenoid coil being pulse width modulated at a frequency of 1 KHz.
When the pressure control valve is not activated, its internal spring maintains a fuel pressure of about 100 Bar.
When the valve is activated, the force of the electromagnet aids the spring, reducing the opening of the valve and so increasing fuel pressure.
The fuel pressure control valve also acts as a mechanical pressure damper, smoothing the high-frequency pressure pulses emanating from the radial piston pump when less than three pistons are activated.

This is new sealed packaged component from Toyota - Due to the nature of this precision component, the sealed unit can not opened or fitted to test for a fault then returned so please make sure that this is the faulty component before placing an order.
