The listed models above ALL used a pump (6 bolt fitment) that fitted into an addition alloy backing housing that then bolts back to the actual block i.e a 2-piece, pump with housing.
Aisin's new design 1-piece pump replaces the older 2-piece setup with a more efficient pump and is a direct replacement once your original backing housing has been removed from the block.
This one piece pump will take longer to fit as it requires fitting right back to the cylinder block, removal of all the timing belt and associated parts is necessary as per our images.
Many times fitters have refused to fit this pump claiming they do not fit, this is incorrect, its just that you need to remove the entire pump & housing in order to fit as per images.
If you prefer to simply fit the smaller pump that bolts into the backing outing with 6 bolts then choose water pump Aisin Engine Water Pump without Cast Housing CWP010, again manufactured by Aisin.
Aisin manufacture for Toyota, therefore this engine water pump is as per the original fitment of the original water pump fitted from factory.

The water pump is bolted to the engine, the viscous fan and fan blade then bolts to the water pump. The water pump is complete with a new mounting gasket and mounting studs to mount the viscous fan to the water pump. This controls the engines cooling system by spinning the fan and cooling the radiators which in turn cools the engine down.

Aisin manufacture for Toyota, therefore this engine water pump is as per the original fitment of the original water pump fitted from factory.

Questions & Answers for One Piece Aisin Engine Water Pump with Cast Housing

Do I need anything else when fitting a pump?
You may want to use a thin film of silicone sealant either side the gasket and of course, new coolant is always a good idea.

My pump appears smaller than this pump?
Some earlier models had a separate small pump that fitted into an alloy backing housing behind, this then fitted to the block. Aisin (for Toyota) redesigned this setup to a more efficient one piece pump that simply bolts straight to the block. It's a direct replacement and becomes obvious once the old one is removed.
