Pedders Uprated Foam Cell Rear Shock Absorber 0-2"

A Land Cruiser 70 Series Rear shock absorber manufactured by Pedders from Australia, fits models from 1990 onwards with either standard rear coils or up to 2" lifted rear coils.

This Foam Cell Trak-Ryder 9500 Series shock absorber is a twin tube foam cell construction and reinforced double welded mountings offering even more precise valve settings crucial for keeping heavy 4WD suspension systems under control whilst still maintaining a comfortable ride and offering precise handling. Designed and manufactured specifically for 4x4’s to provide the requirements for tricky off-road driving or heavier loads that requires a bit more fortitude from your suspension for raised vehicles on & off-road.

With its huge 17mm sintered hardened piston, 41mm internal bore and 61mm external bore this shock is perfect for both general purpose road and off-road use. It uses foam cell technology to enable consistent and precise ride control without compromising on ride comfort in the most extreme terrains.

The advantage of a twin tube design like the Pedders Trak-Ryder, especially in off-road conditions is that if any large stones are flicked up off the road and come into contact with the body of the shock absorber and dent it, it will not affect the operation of the shock absorber.

Foam Cell shock absorbers provide ultimate off-road ride that won’t give out or bounce your head into the roof. They are engineered to virtually eliminate shock fade by allowing full oil contact with both the inner and outer housings, by the way of a Cellular Foam Membrane. This provides larger cooling areas to improve shock performance and durability.

The foam-cell damper is full of oil, with no free-air space at all. The foam membrane compresses on the downward stroke of the piston, allowing for the oil volume increase caused by displacement as the shaft enters the tube.

Foam-cell shock absorbers contain bushed pilot bearing that allows the shock absorber to sustain greater side loadings without damaging the top seal. There is also a pilot bearing slip ring that restricts oil bypass between the shaft and the pilot bearing.
