Details

A new Rear Brake Drum for the Hilux Surf and Hilux Pickup models listed. Made from a special conductive cast iron by NPS of Japan, one of our leading suppliers.

They are precision-engineered and highly machined to the exacting tolerances set, even when simply held in the hand you can see the level of machining on these brake drums.

High-end machining and materials also provide the drum with consistent, long-lasting braking stopping power.
Each Drum is marked with a number for quality control, what's more, they also stamp the max. recommended diameter of the drum so you can check the wear, in this case it's 297mm.

Generally speaking, it is always advisable and good practice to change drums as a pair and fit new shoes.

The drum has the six main stud holes to fit over the existing wheel studs, the central hole locates to the half shaft and centralises the drum so always ensure all mating surfaces are cleaned and rust free else an imbalance could be caused.
The drum also has two 8mm threaded holes for helping to remove a drum, however, always make sure your handbrake cable is also backed off before removing any drum.
