Kavo Kit containing pair 320mm Front Brake Discs and Pads for the Hilux Pickup KUN25 & KUN26 With (VSC) Vehicle Stability Control as listed in Specs and Fitment.
Fits from October 2008 onwards, offers great value for quality components & TUV approved.

Kit contains:
2x Kavo silver coated Front Brake Discs - DISC011 - 320mm with VSC (vehicle stability control). from October/2008-ON.
1x Kavo Front Brake Pads - PAD006 - R90 supplier.

Kavo Discs:

Made from Grey Cast Iron with superb Thermal conductivity
Manufactured to ISO/TS 16949 standards and carry the German Internationally recognised TUV SUD approval – Ensuring quality of materials and fit
Quality discs will offer less brake fade and better resistance to heat and disc warp under heavy braking due to the quality of the Cast Iron.
Machining tolerances are very tight to ensure excellent dimensional accuracy - specifications are found in our Specs / Fitment.

About the pad:

Kavo pads will come in a sealed bag in a sealed box.
The back of the pad has an anti-squeal backing plate attached which again shows the R90 marking.
You will notice the pads have wear indicators on them, when the pad wears to its minimum the indicators will scrape against the discs causing a noise indicating to the driver its time to renew. The pads with the wear indicators in the middle always go inboard of the disc.
Friction material thickness approx.10mm.
Friction material is chamfered either end with central groove to help prevent brake squeal.
One set of pads will fit both front brake calipers

If your model does not have 'Vehicle Stability Control' use brake disc DISC015 or DISC015G.

What is VSC?

VSC or better known as Vehicle stability Control is basically a system developed for helping to prevent the vehicle from side skidding under cornering or when traction is lost through sudden steering movement.
It works by applying the brakes to all 4 individual wheels in a controlled manner whilst reducing the engine speed, in turn straightening up the vehicle.

How do I know if I have VSC fitted?
Sometimes the chassis number won't always tell you for definite if VSC is fitted, the details simply say "with or without" VSC fitted....which isn't that helpful!
So we've got a couple of tips that should help you determine if you have got VSC:

1. Look around the dash or usually the area by the cigarette lighter for a button showing a truck icon with skid marks from the wheels - on the switch is usually the word "OFF"
2. When you initially turn on the ignition, usually on the right-hand dash dials for only 3-4 seconds will appear the letters VSC which will then go off.
3. If you want to get a little more technical then only models with a Brake disc diameter of 320mm have VSC, if you have the small diameter 297mm disc then you won't have VSC fitted.
