New Silver Coated Front Brake Disc & Pad Kit for the Hilux Surf LN130, KZN130 & 4Runner with Independent front Torsion bar suspension (IFS) as listed in Specs and Fitment with R90 approved brake pads and a pair of Silver Coated front discs from Kavo of the Netherlands, kit contains enough to change both front brake discs and pads, offers great value for quality components.

Fits from August 1991 onwards with 25mm thick discs, earlier models had a thinner 20mm disc.

Kit contains:
2x DISC003 Silver Coated Kavo front Discs - Vented 6 stud hole, 25mm thick full details are found in Specs and Fitment section
1x PAD004 - Front Brake Pads set - Kavo R90 approved.

Kavo Discs:

Made from Grey Cast Iron with superb Thermal conductivity
Manufactured to ISO/TS 16949 standards and carry the German Internationally recognised TUV SUD approval – Ensuring quality of materials and fit
Quality discs will offer less brake fade and better resistance to heat and disc warp under heavy braking due to the quality of the Cast Iron.
Machining tolerances are very tight to ensure excellent dimensional accuracy - specifications are found in our Specs / Fitment.
The new silver coating doesn’t have to be removed unlike many current discs supplied with an oil film which has been known to contaminate the pads if not completely removed.
The product is better resistant to corrosion – Simply bolt straight on
Prices remain nearly the same so you get a coated disc for virtually the same money – Bargain!
Of course the all-important touch – Silver coated they look cool !!

Kavo Pads:

Kavo pads are R90 approved and come in a sealed bag in a sealed box.
The back of the pad has an anti-squeal backing plate attached which again shows the R90 marking.
You will notice the pads have wear indicators on them, when the pad wears to its minimum the indicators will scrape against the discs causing a noise indicating to the driver its time to renew. The pads with the wear indicators in the middle always go inboard of the disc.
Friction material thickness 10mm.
Friction material is chamfered either end with central groove to help prevent brake squeal.
R90 requires all pads not to deviate from the friction compatibility, brake fade, and speed sensitivity of the original brake pad by more than 15%.
Type-approval to R90 is required for all replacement brake linings sold throughout the European Union and in non-European countries that have adopted ECE Regulations, this is why RoughTrax have taken the decision to ONLY provide our customers with a friction material that meets this standard.
