A brand new replacement clutch master cylinder for the Hilux Pickup between 1979-1997 for both petrol or diesel models.
This clutch master is a quality manufactured product complete with clevis and pedal adjust rod. This rod can be swopped with your original if required.
The clutch master cylinder is a device that transforms mechanical force into hydraulic pressure. As the driver presses the clutch pedal, the pedal lever applies force to the clutch master cylinder which transmits hydraulic pressure to the clutch release (slave) cylinder that disconnects engine power to the transmission.
Bolted to the bulkhead, the master has a fluid reservoir attached, when the pedal is depressed fluid is pushed through to the clutch slave inturn operating the clutch.
Clutch free-play is adjusted by altering the length of the pedal connecting rod on the master cylinder, this should be carried out once the clutch master cylinder has been fitted.
