We have made it easier to explain how to correctly install the rear axle half shaft seals onto the retainer collar for ABS and NON-ABS models.
With ABS ring fitted.
Without ABS ring fitted.
Seal fitted correctly;
1. Correct depth in axle casing.
2. Fitted square in axle casing.
Do NOT use excessive force on fitting inner seal.
1. You can damage the seal.
2. Compression spring on the back of the seal can separate off the seal unknowingly.
Incorrect fitting of seal!
1. Seal fitted on an angle.
2. Seal fitted too deep.
3. NOT Sealing on the retainer collar.
Will result in oil leaking from the axle shaft.
Correct fitting of seal!
1. Seal fitted square.
2. Correct depth of seal.
3. Sealing on the retainer collar.
